Our Story
We started Swanage Pet Services because we really love animals and our local community in the Purbecks. We have been pet sitters internationally before we decided to move back to our home town, and provide busy locals and holiday makers with a loving, friendly, reliable, professional and trustworthy pet care service. Our services grew organically with word-of-mouth recommendations and testimonials from the lovely community of Swanage, and we are now proud to say we have expanded in 2025 to help other local areas in the Purbecks and we have grown to a team of 4!
Our Services
We offer a range of services to suit different individual needs. We will always endeavour to tailor our services to best suit you and your pets’ unique preferences, care needs and schedule. Regular updates of photos and videos will be sent to you so you can have peace of mind that your pets are having a blast while you are away!
Our Services Include-
1-1 Dog walking where all our attention and care is solely on your pet throughout.
Pop In’s- A 30-minute pop in service for puppies or elderly dogs, cats or other small animals. Including, toilet breaks, play and cuddle time, feeding and treats, litter tray maintenance etc.
House and Pet Sitting- We offer a tailored service based in your own home where your pet will stick to their normal routines and be happy, content and calm.
Including all care, feeding, enrichment, play and x2 hourly walks per day. All while making sure your home and plants are safe and well looked after. Day/Evening /Overnight available.
Our Commitment
At Swanage Pet Services, we are committed to providing a safe, fun and caring environment for your pet. We are highly experienced, fully insured, DBS police checked, pet first aid trained, and we take the safety, well-being and happiness of your pet seriously.
Josey-May
Josey-May single handedly started this business dream back in 2020 and it has grown from a small side gig, alongside her online English teaching career to now, a full-time pet business with a flourishing team within two years. Josey-May grew up with black Labradors and dedicated the love behind this business idea to her adored family dog Ringo! She loves hiking the beautiful coastal path, paddleboarding in summer and is obsessed with the delights of exotic food and travel.
Paul
Paul is Josey-May’s Fiancée of over 13 years, he has been working full time in SPS since January 2024. Paul is highly experienced and confident with all different dog breeds and has a talent for bonding with and creating trust and change with dogs who can be reactive or anxious. Paul is also officially Mr Cat Whisper! When he is not hard at work, Paul loves all things family, Nintendo, the great outdoors and eating everything!
Lea and Andy
Lea and Andy met SPS as clients for their adorable dachshund Charlie back in 2024 and since January 2025, they have joined us as our first freelance team members. They are both avid dog lovers and have rescued over 7 dogs in recent years and given them a whole new joyous lease of life.
When they are not looking after Charlie or other doggy friends they love to explore in their motorhome, enjoying nature, spending time with family and volunteering in the local community.
